On the final day of the Kino Climates meeting in cinema Rio, Lies Van de Vijver presented the digital walk in the heritage app of the lost cinemas in Ghent based on the European Cinema Audiences historical research on the film exhibition culture in Ghent.
The app contains information on 26 cinemas and provides an information card and a short audio file on the history of each venue. Quotes from the European Cinema Audiences interviews were used to provide an anekdote with each cinema.
The app was used for an 1,5 hour walk passed the 10 center cinemas in Ghent with the participants of the Kino Climates meeting.
