The members of the National Validation Panel and the Steering Committee met with the researchers and investigators of the European Cinema Audiences research project for a final (closed) event in Rome. The team had a guided tour of the Cinecittà studios. Afterwards, the European Cinema Audiences documentary made by Alessio Mida and Lorenzo Fenoglio from our partner Memoro premiered in the studios. The day closed with Daniela Treveri Gennari giving an overview of the research and analysis done the past two years and explained the impact of the pandemic on ECA. Lies Van de Vijver gave an overview of the outputs and the public engagement events. Pierluigi Ercole explained the future plans of the research team such as the Palgrave Handbook for Comparative New Cinema Histories and led a discussion on the follow-on of the ECA research project.
