At the European Heritage Day in Gent, Lies Van de Vijver gave two free lectures on the history of the building of cinema Rex, its programmed films and its recorded memories based on the ECA research. The 30′ lecture was in collaboration with our Cultural partner Film Fest Gent. FilmFest Gent organised on-site registration of new memories of cinemagoing in Ghent and Rex. The lecture was accompanied by a 20′ documentary with the ECA interviews as testimonies of the history of cinema in Gent which showed in loop each Sunday of September 2024. The site was visited by 5350 people.
